One of my own vehicles for occasional fun transport owned for the last 4 years never fails to start & run , a hoot to drive its a very genuine series 88” Land Rover

Spent most of its days on the Black Isle North of Inverness on an estate with the collie in the back
A very original looking truck , no welding anywhere ( nor does it need) had a chassis replacement approx 14 years ago & a coat of red paint that has now faded nicely to give a rather nice look / patina in my opinion, we tracked down a pair of solid original doors ( had Defender doors after repaint 🙄 ) which do rather stand out but I wanted it to look period correct
Correctly & regularly undersealed / waxoiled to protect over the years , its a solid auld Landy for sure.

Now this is not for everyone , purists turn away !!
Originally it would of had a petrol engine but as so many was converted to diesel back in the day , this one has a bulletproof Nissan na engine fitted which actually runs like a watch , I too was unsure but actually I rather like it , it wears its new trousers well.
No body modification was required so an old petrol motor would go back in if required
All in all it’s an extremely solid series LR that only needs to be enjoyed or further enhanced if you want. its great fun to drive , has real character , charm & gets admiring looks wherever it goes.
Could be put to light duties easily & has really stood the tests of time.
